Outra das (muitas) vantagens de se estar no
Brasil é poder acompanhar mais de perto aqueles artistas, sejam eles músicos,
actores, realizadores, produtores, humoristas, que já admiramos em Portugal.
Eu, viciada-em-música-brasileira-especialmente-bossa-nova-e-em-Porta-dos-Fundos,
me confesso. Estou no sítio ideal para receber um banho de cultura renovado e
revigorante.
Nos últimos dias, com tudo o que já vi (do
Leblon a Ipanema, de Ipanema a Copacabana e de Copacabana ao Pão de Açúcar),
achei mesmo que, mais cedo ou mais tarde, iria encontrar um actor famoso das
novelas da Globo, eles tinham que andar por aqui. Não que eu andasse
desesperadamente à procura deles. Mas tinha aquele feeling de que Leblon,
Ipanema e Copacabana devem estar para o Rio mais ou menos como o Chiado está
para Lisboa.
Escusado será dizer que... vi mesmo! Domingo,
hora do almoço, Leblon. Restaurante fresquinho e almoço de amigos. Entra pela
porta um “senhor-armário”. Engraçado que ao vivo o senhor parece mesmo muito
maior que nas novelas. Sempre pensei que fosse ao contrário. Quem é ele, quem é
ele? Eu tinha a certeza que era actor mas não sabia o nome, eles são tantos!
Claro que só lhe descobri o nome – estranho, por sinal – quando cheguei a casa
e fiz uma rápida pesquisa pelo Google. Não escrevi “senhor-armário” mas bastou
escrever actor musculado que apareceu logo. Tuca Andrada (também com estes
“apelidos” como é que ia adivinhar? O homem chama-se José Ivaldo Gomes de Andrade
Filho, o que é que isso tem de parecido?)
Sim, é esse mesmo, o da foto de cima.
Além disso, o Porta dos Fundos está em grande aqui, tal como em Portugal, e o Porchat é mais ou menos o Ricardo Araújo Pereira cá do sítio. Ele faz tudo. Ele é o Porta, os espetáculos ao vivo, ele viaja por todo o mundo, ele faz programas de TV em vários canais, anúncios, etc. etc. O homem não pára e parece que está sempre ligado à tomada.
Ora bem, eu vi que ele tinha um programa de segunda-feira à noite, no canal Multishow, chamado “Tudo pela Audiência”, e, claro, como fã que sou, fiquei ansiosamente a aguardar por esse momento. Best-TV-show-ever! Foi só rir, do princípio ao fim. O programa é uma espécie de sátira a todos os programas de variedades “género-Big-Show-Sic” que existem no Brasil (ex.: Caldeirão do Huck, Domingão do Faustão, entre outros). Tatá Werneck é a companheira de apresentação do Porchat. Acho que ela ainda consegue falar mais rápido e ser mais cómica, muitas vezes, que ele. Chegam a ser cruéis nas críticas ao público e às pessoas que participam com eles nas brincadeiras mas acho que quem lá entra já sabe ao que vai. É ridicularizar o ridículo. Criticar de forma subtil mas mordaz. Adoro.
À terça-feira, há Porta na Fox. Escusado será dizer que me têm a mim na fila da frente, como fã número 1.
Porchat, meu quirido, se me estiveres a ler, aparece aí para bebermos um chopp juntos, vai? ;)
Among all the (many)
advantages of being in Brazil, one of them is being able to follow, more closely, the artists
we already admire in Portugal, be they musicians, actors, directors, producers,
comedians.
I, a-Porta-dos-Fundos-and-Brazilian-music-addicted-especially-bossa-nova,
confess myself. I am in the perfect place to get a fresh and invigorating
culture immersion.
In these last few
days, with everything I've seen (from Leblon to Ipanema, Ipanema to Copacabana,
Copacabana to Pão de Açúcar), I knew that, sooner or later, I would find myself
bumping into a famous actor of the Globo telenovelas (Globo is the most
important and the largest producer of soap operas), they had to be out there.
Not that I am desperately searching for them. But I just had that feeling that
Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana in Rio should be about the same as Chiado in
Lisbon (there you can find a famous person almost every 5 minutes).
Needless to say ...
it happened! Sunday lunchtime, Leblon. Nice and cool restaurant for a lunch with
friends. Right through the door, one "master-cabinet" (literally
translated from Portuguese, which means a big person, usually a muscle man)
walks in. It’s funny that “live and color” he seems even much bigger than on TV.
I’ve always thought it was the other way around.
Who is he, who is he?
I was sure he was an actor but I did not know his name, they are so many! Of
course I just found out his name - strange, by the way - when I got home and googled
it. I did not write, "master-closet", of course, but it was enough to
write muscular actor. Tuca Andrada (plus, with these "nicknames" how
would one guess? The man is called José Ivaldo Gomes de Andrade Filho, what
does one have to do with the other?).

In addition to that, the Porta
dos Fundos show (a very nice humoristic show that started on YouTube, see link below) is huge
here, just as it is in Portugal, and Fábio Porchat (the main actor) is kind of
a Ricardo Araújo Pereira here (RAP is one of the most famous comedians in
Portugal, at the moment). He does it all. He is in Porta dos Fundos, he does live shows, he travels all over the
world, he is in several TV Shows on different channels, he does commercials, etc. etc. The man does
not stop and it looks like he is always plugged in.
Well, I saw that he had a
Monday late-night show on Multishow channel, called “Tudo Pela Audiência” ("All for the rating"), and of
course, as a fan, I was eagerly waiting for this moment. Best-TV-show-ever! It
was just laughing from beginning to end. The program is a kind of satire to all
variety programs that exist in Brazil (ex.: Caldeirão
do Huck, Domingão do Faustão, among others). Tatá Werneck is Porchat’s “partner
in crime”. I think she even manages to speak faster and be more comic, many
times, than he is. She can also be a little bit cruel, sometimes, when they
criticize the audience and the guests but I think that those who come and participate should
already know what to expect. The point is to fool the fools. To criticize in a
subtle but scathing way. Love It.
On Tuesday, there is Porta
on Fox. Needless to say, they have me in the front row, as their No. 1 fan.
